Hujambo!

Hujambo! We are here at the base, in the "bush bush" as they call it. Traveling went really smoothly and were not even jet legged. Yesterday we saw a herd of 15 zebras right here at the base! It's more remote than we were expecting! It's beautiful! We were the first to arrive, tomorrow everyone else will get here. There is a group here from Finland doing their outreach already. We will try and post some pictures, but it might take a really long time!

On our way home!

We've killed three days in Cordova, seeing the sights and are flying home tonight! The Alaskan has served us well and we'll probably stay there again next summer :) We checked out the Museum, the Cafe and got some sweet clothes at the Salvation Army. We arrive in Portland at 6:00 tomorrow morning. Only 12 more days until we're at the airport again, on our way to KENYA!

Hanging out in Cordova

We flew out yesterday to Cordova, can't believe we're already done! That was the shortest three weeks ever! Our flight isn't until the 15th and it will be cheaper if we stay here in Cordova, so here we are staying at the Alaskan for $25 a night! Here are some more pictures from the hatchery, we will really miss it!

Storm passed

There was a  storm that came through the area, so for the past few days the internet has been down. But today the sun is back and the internet's working again. We're leaving anywhere from the 12th to the 15th depending on the weather. Eggtake is over 148,000,000 eggs later! Now we are on to "picking"(putting the eggs into machines to sort out the dead eggs) and other odd jobs cleaning up from egg take.
