We are in West Pokot

We are in West Pokot and all is going well!  It is alot like the video posted earlier.  We sleep under the stars and spend most of our time by the water well trying to help people get water and trying to talk! Most people speak Pokot, so everything is translated to Swahili and then English.  Cooking takes most of the day and share our meals with all the local people.

We held a service and a team member preached (with multiple translator) and 30 peoples prayed to recieve Jesus.

We are excited and doing great!! (posted by Sues Dad)

Trip to Masia Mara

Masia Mara is a national game reserve in south-western Kenya which basically the northern part of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.  It is named after the Masai people.  It is famous for its exceptional population of Big Cats, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest from the Serengeti.  Here are some pictures!

Our Safari Truck got totally stuck in the mud!

Helping get out of the mud!

We got amazingly close to some of the animals.

Pokot Outreach

We leave January 16th for a several week outreach in Pokot.  Here is a video made by the last YWAM team that traveled to Pokot to give you an idea of what we will be doing.

Update from Kenya

Updating our blog from Kenya has become very difficult because of internet access. We can however post pictures to our facebook pages. Sue's Dad will be posting some pictures on the blog from Sue's facebook, but probably not with much detail. Here are some pictures of our recent outreach trip to Masai Land.
